Tweetjobs is the brainchild of Richard Sutcliffe. Having spent 9 years in the recruitment industry, he saw the start of the swing by companies to using social networking and direct sourcing as an integral part of their recruitment strategy. Looking at the offerings in the marketplace, Richard decided that Twitter offered the best solution and Tweetjobs.net was born. To quickly develop the offering, and to ensure it had relevance to wider markets, Richard enlisted the help of other experts:
Next they looked at Twitter from both a client and candidate perspective to see what they would want to get out of it and how it could be used more effectively. The conclusions were:
For clients

For candidates

Tweetjobs operates independent industry and location accounts as well as managing client branded ones. This means candidates only receive details of jobs in the area they are looking in and don't receive hundreds of updates a day, the majority of which will be of no interest. As a client, you know your postings are targetted and being sent to a captive audience.
Our application takes an uploaded XML file and formats it into a Tweet. It takes key pieces of information from the file such as, job title, key skills, location, salary and a url link to the job on the clients web site and auto formats it before sending it out. This is all done in a fraction of a second. So no more sitting there trying to shrink a job down into 140 characters or less.
From a candidates perspective, you may not have a Twitter account. That's fine, we have simplified this process for you too. Just go to the candidate page, follow the joining instructions and we will set one up for you. All you need to do is decide on a user name and a password.
Tweetjobs is always evolving. If you have any ideas or feedback we want to hear about them please email : service@tweetjobs.net
